The earliest version of the GE 12AX7. These are military spec tubes with long ribbed gray plates, square/D-getters. Balanced tubes with warm presence! Matched pairs available.

Grade A - The best in the stock. Lowest noise and microphony with the tightest balanced sections we have available. This is typically 10% or often tighter given the large volumes of our stock.
Grade B - Low noise and microphonics with a section balance typically between 15% and 20%, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Grade C - Lowest noise but slightly microphonic. Section balance will be similar to Grade A or B. This grade is only suitable for use in the driver stage of an amplifier, or the output/buffer stage of a DAC or CD Player.

  1. If I had to define a word for these valves, it would be “AIR”. The soundstage is wider with exceptional detail, a powerful bass and warmth. In short, a contribution to the music of my system.

  2. I found an awesome combination for super high resolution in a guitar amp imparting a 3D effect. Combine this tube V2 with an RCA 12AX7A in V1 in a Marshall circuit.

    Alone, this tube is very warm but also clear, it has an interesting personality. I like this type a lot.
