General Electric 5751 Triple Mica Black Plates

General Electric 5751 TMBP 1950's USA
One of the best sounding 5751's ever made. Very well balanced tube with smooth highs, sweet midrange and good bass. Print quality varies. Some tubes in stock are labeled and boxed for National Electronics, Heintz & Kaufman etc. The others will come in white boxes.

  1. I got these famous tubes as a matched pair with very nice NATIONAL printing and boxes. I tried them on Kondo japan M7 phono stage together with one pair early 1950 RCA 6189 TMBP also from NOS TUBE STORE , in place of much more expensive TFK ECC83 long plates and AMPEREX ECC186/7316/ECC82 short plates and I liked better this combination , by getting more musicality , richness, liquidity and bass slam , on the downsides i loose little bit transparency and air ( in this area nothing come close to TFK and DUTCH AMPEREXES) , but overall i enjoy more records than before and especially the old recordings. In short excellent and very rare tubes and very highly recommended.

  2. Great sounding, classic tube. Sounds great coupled with vintage vinyl and remastered CD's from the 1960's & 70's. Balanced frequency response. Good imaging. Not particularly colored but had a great flavor all it's own...which is very musical and works well for many musical types. A classic example of the US-made black plate 5751. Requires a healthy burn in time to show it's true colors!

  3. I bought a matched pair of General Electric 5751 Triple Mica Black Plates by recommendation from Koray, and I have to say that I really like these tubes. Refined and airy sound but with good midrange. Lovely voices.
Had some questions and Koray resolved fast and effective.
    Thanks,

  6. Right out of the box, great sound on my PrimaLuna Dialogue One together with RCA 12AU7 1959 Clear Tops. Can't wait to hear how burn-in will improve and refine sound even more. Thank you Sir Koray.
