6B4G is a triode power tube and electrically equivalent to 6A3, but 6A3 has 4 pin base and 6B4G has 8 pin octal base. The best 6B4 type tubes were made in the 1940's and 1950's. These military spec 6B4Gs were manufactured for Westinghouse Electric in 1942 by Sylvania and have Internally connected charcoal black plates with support rods on sides and hanging filaments on the top.
