Awesome sounding 12AU7 from pre-war Yugo...

Ei Yugoslavia bought all of the old Telefunken stock and equipment in the 1970s, and produced these tubes, identical to original Telefunken smoothplates! These were about the best to come out of Eastern Europe in the late 1970s, they even flash orange when energized like the vintage European tubes do. These come labeled and boxed for Philips.

Made in 1970s, Czechoslovakia. An excellent copy of the famous Telefunken ECC802S.  No label imprinted on the tubes since these were imported for gov't & military use to the West during those early cold-war days. Those imported to the US was labeled as "6189" (12AU7WA) and those to Europe as ECC802S.

Tungsram Company was based in Hungary. Their tubes are respected for quality workmanship and rare today. The Tungsram ECC82 is very neutral/natural sounding, it has a extended top end and tight bass. Overall very good tonal balance and clarity. The tubes in stock are labeled for CIFTE France. Those with original boxes are already sold out. The printings of the tubes in the current stock are mostly faded out.

BRIMAR CV4003 / 12AU7 / ECC82 Long Plates
Made by Rochester plant of Thorn-AEI (Brimar) in 1960's. Military spec tubes with ribbed long plates and halo getter. These are very balanced from top to bottom and have low noise/microphonics.

Brimar has character similar to Mullard, but it provides some advantages over Mullard for music where warmth and details are important. It has warmth of Mullard with more HF extension. A few of these are labeled for Haltron and Scoba.

Siemens & Halske ECC82/12AU7 Welded Large Plates 1953 
An ultra rare collector's item! Made by Philips Copenhagen factory in 1953. All have the same date code : Triangle 6  K6B. These have welded large plates with D-Getter. Mint in original boxes. These can make a Matched Grade-A trio or a pair and single. The Amplitrex AT1000 test scores are as follows :
9.6mA/10.0mA, 10.2mA/9.6mA and 9.2mA/9.2mA.

RCA/ATES/Italian Marconi ECC82/12AU7 Large Gray Plates Italy
The company ATES was established in 1959 in Italy. The production started with the cooperation of RCA which was one of the major shareholders of ATES. Tubes made in the L’Aquila plant came out with the double marking RCA – ATES and were sold through RCA commercial channels. When, in the late sixties, RCA abandoned this market segment in Italy, Marconi bought the plant. These rare tubes have a construction type specific to them, with silver clips on the corners of plates. We have both square getter type from the late 1950's and O-getter type from the early-mid 1960's which are labeled for CEI.

Funkwerk/Neuhaus RFT tubes were made in East Germany throughout the cold-war era. Then many Eastern Block made tubes were bought through western contractors by NATO for military use. Such tubes often were labeled by those re-brander/contractors. These are quality tubes on budget and come screened for noise and microphonics!! All kinds of matching available.

Made by Philips-Amperex Heerlen/Holland factory. Labeled for Hewlett Packard and Valvo. These early and mid 60's production tubes of Heerlen Factory in Holland were marketed in the USA under the brandname of Amperex. One of the best and most sought-after European ECC82s ever made. Very good sound stage and balanced sound. Matched pair and quads available.
