Made by Tung-Sol in 1944 and 1945. Probably the most sought-after 6SN7 variant. These have round black plates and oval top mica with black coated glass. Mostly in original boxes and wrappings.

Made in 1950's, USA by Sylvania. These are military spec tubes with brown bases. The tubes feature T-shape black plates and silver tops. Smooth, open, detailed sound with tight bass. Matched pairs come with same base and lettering types.

Made by MELZ Factory (Moscow, USSR). Metal base, black plates with holes. Military equipment with OTK label. An excellent 6SN7 with outstanding engineering and beautiful sound. These are the genuine 1578's which are ultra rare nowadays. All from the same batch of 1976. NOS and MINT.

Early (NOS) Russian 6SN7GT
These are actually 6H8C which is Russian 6SN7GT equivalent, and exported to the West back in the cold war years. Technically built to fulfill Russian Military standards, these are quality tubes and sonically superior to today’s current production! Our batches are from 1960's and 70's.

TUNG-SOL JAN CTL 6SN7WGT 1962 USA
Black triangular plates, top O-getter,
dark silver lettering on brown base, all have the same date codes, packed on March 1962 in original military
boxes. Excellent slam and dynamics! These have really clear good mid range and solid bass but the top end is not as refined as the famous Tung-Sol VT-231 with round plates. Highly recommended as a driver
tube for power amps. Available in matched pairs and singles.
