RFT ECC83 / 12AX7

RFT ECC83 / 12AX7 E.Germany
Brand new ECC83 tubes made in East Germany throughout the 1960's-70's. Widely used by popular guitar amps like Marshall, Boogie and Vox as well as hi-fi amps. Sonic/tonal qualities are tailored for rock and blues thanks to its dark character, focused crunchy bass, early break up, rich harmonic distortion and sustain. Also, these have very low microphonics. Our stock tubes are mostly labeled as Tesla, United Electron, Globus, RSD, Neuhaus and Haltron CV8156 (a British military designation for 7025).

Quantity in Stock : 3 pcs
Price : US$ 59,00/ea; US$ 125,00/matched pair

  1. Took quite a while to get to me, but worth it. The tubes I ordered from my Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100 gave me the tone I was looking for. Thanks for finding and having these NOS tubes - new production doesn't sound the same!

  2. This RFT sounds fantastic in my Marshall 2204 (V1), very strong and gainy. The tubes arrived stateside just as described. I will be placing another order this week!

  3. I bought a matched pair for the V1 and V2 positions of my Bluesbreaker.

These tubes work wonderfully well in that amplifier and have provide a clarity that wasn't there with the stock tubes.

    Great for Marshalls.

  4. This is the right tube for rock guitar. It worked great in all my amps, i.e Fender, Marshall, Laney, and Hiwatt.
